|
<a href="data/probability.html">Probability</a> is the <b>chance</b> that something will happen. It

can be shown on a line:

between impossible and certain.</p>

<p>As well as words, we can use numbers to show the probability

<li>Certain is <b>one</b></li>
|
|

<h2>Names</h2>
|
|
|
|
<p>People use many names when talking about probability! Such as odds, chance and so on.</p>

<p>means exactly <b>50%</b> chance, which is also <b>0.5</b> or <b>½</b></p>

<h2>Notation</h2>

<p>In mathematics we use the letter <b>P</b> to mean "probability of", like this:</p>
